Quick Mom Tips – # 1 Beat the Heat
I’ve decided to start a post series that will be ongoing as I blog called Quick Mom Tips. The plan for this is to offer super quick, but super helpful tips for moms.
I hope this will be helpful for you. As a young mom, I don’t have a lot of time, money, or energy to spare, so I loved the idea of adding some simple ways to stretch the resources I’ve got especially if it’ll help make everyday life run a little smoother.
I’m excited to share this first quick tip, it’s actually not mine! One of my friends and readers posted it on FB and I thought it was such a good idea, I knew I had to share it with you guys! Its perfect for these hot summer days!
I’m Joelle, wife to Marq and proud mama to Brynn (almost 4). I’m an RN and I take care of high-risk pregnant women in an OB office part-time. I love finding ways to make my life as a mom a little easier and more enjoyable!
Thus, my quick tip is to take a spray bottle filled with cold water out with you and your little one(s) on hot days to spray down hot car seats and belts before strapping them in and even letting them spray themselves to keep cool if the car takes a while to cool down. The spray bottle also comes in handy on beach days or zoo days, park days or any hot outings. It’s been a life saver for me as Brynn is much more comfortable and cool even on those scorching hot summer days in Virginia Beach.
Isn’t that such a good idea?? I thought that was so smart! I even wish I would have had know last summer when I was pregnant! I will definitely be keeping this trick in my back pocket. My little one will love getting sprayed down too. Thanks for sharing this with us Joelle.
Do you have a Quick Mom Tip?
Part of my vision for The flourishing Momma is to create a sense of community for mom’s. I know there are too many days that I feel like the only human I’m interacting with can’t even talk back to me yet 🙂 I know this will not replace chats over coffee or anything but I’ll take adult interaction any way I can 😉 With that being said, I’d love to get some more readers involved in this specifically! Please let me know if you’ve got any quick tips that’d be helpful for the rest of us! Can’t wait to hear from you 🙂
